#4 - The phrase “Greatest Spectacle in Racing” for the race was created in 1955 by Alice Greene, a young copywriter at Indianapolis radio station WBIC. She suggested “Stay tuned to the Greatest Spectacle in Racing” as an out cue for radio stations broadcasting the race.

#32 - Helmets were made mandatory for races, a first in motorsports, at the 1935 race.
